Celsius #Review

Sometimes I need a pick me up, and Celsius Drinks answers the need. I’m not one to indulge in energy drinks often. Since being on Nutrisystem, I’ve cut way back on soda…like one or two per week. Water is my drink of choice, but sometimes I want more. I am calorie-conscious and want something that doesn’t remind me I’m dieting.

I’m of the thought that watching what you consume is the best way to ignite metabolism. However, I also know, first-hand, that dieting can zap your energy. Traditional energy drinks give the boost. However, their ingredients and calories aren’t necessarily a good choice. This is where Celsius comes in. It’s an energy drink that claims to boost metabolism by up to twelve percent and increase energy for up to three hours. The ingredients are natural and blend antioxidant-rich ingredients like Green Tea Extract, Biotin, Guarana Seed, and Calcium. Celsius boasts that it keeps dieters alert, focused, and slim and burns up to 100 calories per bottle.

I’ve seen Celsius at stores I frequently visit, Kroger and Walgreens and it’s fairly priced.

From the Celsius Website:

Celsius helps you get fit and stay fit. Celsius is your partner whether you walk the dog or work out at the gym. Studies show that drinking a great-tasting Celsius before you exercise may help you burn calories, raise metabolism and provide lasting energy to power you through your routine and beyond.*  Even better, studies show Celsius may reduce body fat, increase endurance and provide greater resistance to fatigue (increased energy).* These were the results for participants who drank Celsius once a day during the 10-week study, and on the days they exercised, they consumed their daily Celsius 15 minutes before exercise.

If you like Celebrity Endorsements, you’ll love Celsius. Katie Holmes, Lindsay Lohan, and Sienna Miller can’t get enough of the stuff, and the Celsius Celebrity Spokesperson is Mario Lopez. Celsius Drinks have a flavor for everyone.

I have tried several of the flavors. The orange was not for me, but this shouldn’t surprise anyone who knows me; I’m not a big orange flavor fan. I really love the Wild Berry and Raspberry Acai. They are hands down my most favorite. I also love the Celsius On-the-Go Powder Sticks. They are convenient and allow me flavor wherever I am. I find that they don’t dissolve without a whole lotta shaking, but it’s still the way I prefer.

It should be noted that one can of Celsius is equivalent to two cups of coffee at 200 mg of caffeine. I tried to test the claim that Celsius will help you burn 100 calories more per can by drinking one can of Celsius 15-minutes before my workout and logging the calories burned from my Body Media. It was inconclusive. A clinical study, paid for by Celsius, has results you can view by visiting the Celsius Website. After drinking Celsius Drinks, I do feel a boost in my energy. It’s a gradual increase and decrease. I like this because it doesn’t give me the jitters or make me feel pooped when it’s over. It’s just a nice elevation that helps me keep up with the schedules or make it through a workout. Celsius Drinks has been added to my workouts, or anytime I just need some added Oomph!

I was sent Celsius to facilitate an honest review. No other compensation was received. The opinions, where expressed are my own and in no way were influenced by the sponsor. Others experiences may vary.
