Colder weather makes the kiddos stay inside more, and in doing so, they’ve discovered a great new game, Boom Blast Stix.
It’s a game that keeps us all on the edge of our seats.
The gameplay is simple. The manufacturer suggests those six years and older are ready to play, but you can most likely engage those younger as it is simple.
The game come is a large tub. There are 32 springs as well as an instruction booklet. That’s all that’s needed to get started.
You then take turns locking the spring and adding your spring to pile.
The red lid of the storage tub is used as the base to stack the springs on. You can use this lid alone, making the game closer to the playing surface, but it will be far less explosive. For optimal fun and massive explosion, we recommend using the red lid and placing it on top of the storage tub.
Warning: the optimal fun version we recommend will have the springs go everywhere when it explodes.
The springs themselves are easy to lock together. We had no issues in doing this. William did notice that different springs have different tension. This adds to the fun as you never know when they are going to pop open and explode the pile everywhere!
We literally are on the edge of our seats and smack talk that our nerves are of steel when we play this game. It’s an intense waiting game filled with suspense!
Some of us still scream when the pile goes boom!
It’s a fast-paced game and takes about five minutes to complete. Those five minutes are high intensity and produce a lot of laughter.
Boom Blast Stix is available from Target or Amazon for $11.99.
We received the Boom Blast Stix game free of charge in exchange for this post. My opinion and love for games remain my own.
