Our The Bear Went Over the Mountain Children’s Book Review

I love the moments when my children gather around me, and we are quiet and sharing a book. I love it even more when they participate. Our new love is The Bear Went Over the Mountain by Iza Trapani.

The Bear Went Over the Mountain

Before we opened the pages, we were guessing the adventure the bear would find when he went over the mountain. Inside the cover the pages were warm with beautiful and vibrant water-colored illustrations! The words fell into playful prose as we followed Bear on his adventure over the mountain, engaging in all fie senses and experiencing the thrill of the four seasons!

We paused to enjoy the exploration on each page and giggled at the fun and oh-oh moments–like smelling a skunk!
It didn’t take long for Li’l Man to recognize, “this is like a song we learned at school one day.” It warranted the book being revisited over and over again.

The book can be found at your favorite retailer this month with a suggested retail of $16.95.
It would make a delightful addition to any spring celebration!
