Both Australia and New Zealand are the stunning backdrops for some of the world’s biggest TV shows and silver screen hits.

If you wanted to explore the setting of the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit franchises then look no further than Matamata – the village of Hobbiton – Wellington – which is where famous scenes in the River Anduin, the Gardens of Isengard, Rivendell and Osgiliath Wood (to name but a few!) were filmed.

Many tour operators have specially tailored tours which include detailed excursions, rambles through the rough and ready countryside and so much more – just be sure to check reviews and prices before you travel.

And what about Australia? Well, if you fancy visiting the set of Neighbours then head to Melbourne!

Or what about Home and Away? Then take a plane and head to Sydney’s Northern Beaches – don’t forget to take lots of pictures!

At over 1,500 miles in length, explorers, travelers, and holidaymakers alike have all been fascinated with the Great Reef ever since its discovery by Captain Cook.

With thousands upon thousands of different species of aquatic and marine wildlife to discover – why not take a snorkeling or diving trip and view the Great Barrier Reef in all its wonder.

Various tour operators offer different experiences, depending on what you want, you can really get up close and personal with the Reef and its inhabitants or stay by the shore and observe nature from the sandy beach instead.

Visit Sydney Harbour Bridge

Affectionately known as the “Coat Hanger” to Sydney’s residents, the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge is both beautiful and majestic, and a must-see for those who want to see Australia’s landmarks.

The only way to experience the bridge?

On foot of course!
