Farmhouse Pasta and Rice Review

Cooking for my family is something I take great pride in. Preparing foods from scratch gives me peace of mind that I control what is going into my family’s bodies. We like variety and with a large family, eating out is far too costly for us to do often.

Farmhouse Foods pasta and rice mixes compliments my entrees with delicious and healthy side dishes and they contain absolutely no artificial ingredients, MSG or preservatives. That makes me feel good serving it along side our favorite main dishes.   Farmhouse Foods also is a brand with a history of producing great quality products–they’ve been around over 100 years!

My husband’s favorite side is rice and wild rice is his luxury. We started our review by making the Farmhouse Long Grain and Wild Rice. I loved how easy it was and I was able to cook it right alongside my other recipes so it all came together at the same time.

It yielded a fluffy, beautiful rice. One bite and the kiddos knew why dad loves wild rice. It was tasty!

Other rice side dish varieties include Herb and Butter Long Grain and Wild Rice, Mexican Rice, Chicken Rice, Rice Pilaf, and Brown and Wild Rice. Made from 100 percent natural rice, cheese, vegetables and dairy products, which all come from dairy and co-ops between Arkansas and California. The products are packaged in Idaho! and made from 100 percent natural rice, cheese, vegetables and dairy products.

My kiddos LOVE pasta and Farmhouse has plenty of options so I don’t get bored with the meal. Flavors like Fettuccine Alfredo, White Cheddar, Parmesan, and Four Cheese.

Farmhouse Four Cheese Pasta

Farmhouse Four Cheese Pasta

The Four Cheese Pasta has spiral noodles and makes a creamy side. It is Li’l Man’s favorite.

Farmhouse White Cheddar Pasta

The White Cheddar has shell shaped noodles. It was our least favorite, though it was still tasty.

Farmhouse Herb and Butter Pasta

Farmhouse Herb and Butter Pasta (with shrimp)

I added tiny shrimp to the Herb and Butter Pasta and it was scrumptious! The flat noodles where the perfect thickness and the sauce was creamy heaven. This was my favorite!

Farmhouse Fettuccine Alfredo

Farmhouse Fettuccine Alfredo

The Divine Miss M raved about the Fettuccine Alfredo! Flat noodles combined with an alfredo sauce was so good that she, alone, nearly ate the entire prepared box!

Farmhouse Parmesan Pasta

Farmhouse Parmesan Pasta

The Parmesan is my husband’s requested Farmhouse pasta product. It mingles texture and has a great, mild taste.

We have bought Farmhouse several times since our review. It is unlike any boxed pasta we have tried. My kiddos absolutely love the variety in the flavors and the noodles and I love that it’s all natural. Farmhouse Foods are available at stores along the west coast working their way east.

The boxes are just fine on their own, but consider it as a base for one of many of the recipes listed on their website.

*I received a box of ten assorted Farmhouse Rice and Pasta in order to facilitate an honest review. The opinions where expressed are my own and were in no way influenced by the sponsor. Others experiences may vary.
