The Sprinkles Baking Book By Candace Nelson

There are few things in life I like more than a cupcake and Candace Nelson of Cupcake Wars entices my love affair with her new book The Sprinkles Baking Book.

The Sprinkles Baking Book

It’s the perfect name for a cookbook that focuses on baking. Who isn’t happy with dessert!?

I have so enjoyed reading about Candace Nelson. I loved reading about her memories of helping her mom bake, leveling out the sugar in the measuring cups and whipping her first egg whites. These are all memories Candace and I share, which made the book even more enduring to me.

The Sprinkles Baking Book is a Delicious Book

There are some cookbooks I turn page after page, not interested in trying the recipe, but Sprinkles had me on nearly every page.

Maybe it is the easy set-up of the book with simple and easily understood instructions, and ingredients that I already have, and well, it’s a book about all the desserts I love.

She features a page dedicated to How to Eat a Cupcake. I’m “The Frosting Sandwich” girl who twists off the cupcake bottom from the top, flips the top over and places it on the cupcake bottom so the frosting is sandwiched between layers of cake.

Maybe I will start with the Peanut Butter Chip Cupcakes or the Creme Brulee Cupcakes. I’m still reading the book, so I have time to decide and a lot more options ahead of me.

This book si filled with beautiful pictures of beautiful food. They are colored pictures, which is something I absolutely love in a cookbook. Pages and pages of pictures.

Candace Nelson is my kind of woman. She is smart. Sprinkles is America’s first cupcakes-only bakery. It started the year my li’l man was born (2005). Folks thought she was crazy asking what else it was that she sold–it didn’t stop her from selling out on the opening day…and it hasn’t slowed down.

Sprinkles cookbook features 100 irresistible desserts. There are 50 cupcake recipes, from the iconic red velvet to new flavors exclusive to the book.

Unlike her store, Sprinkles cookbook isn’t limited to cupcakes, it also features recipes for Candace’s all-time favorite cakes, pies, quick bread, cookies, bars, and other treats, plus delicious guest recipes from Sprinkles friends like Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts, and Michael Strahan.

This holiday, treat yourself or someone who loves baking to the sweetest cookbook, Sprinkles.
