Weight Watchers Cheese Review

Cheese. I love the stuff. Hard. Soft. Shredded. Spreadable. Sharp. Mild. Spicy. Mellow.

While I love the flavor, versatility, and selection of cheese, it’s a downfall in my diet.

I was provided the opportunity to try Weight Watchers Cheese. I selected the Mexican Style Shredded Cheese as it fits well into my family’s eating habits.

Weight Watchers offers shredded cheeses, natural cheese slices, cream cheeses, singles, string cheese, and cheese snacks. Unlike other reduced-fat cheeses, I have tried Weight Watchers Mexican Style Shredded cheese was delicious and a healthier option than our regular cheese.

Out of the bag, I was concerned. The cheese was much dryer than our traditional shredded cheese choice. I tasted it and thought the texture and taste were rival to standard fare Mexican Style shredded cheese.

I made Macaroni and Cheese to accompany our pork chops. The cheese was easy to incorporate into the recipe. It melted well and had a nice, natural color.

I said nothing to my family but served up the dish. My husband is a hard-core critic of food. He said nothing about the macaroni and cheese, and instead, served himself again.

Typically, my experience has been a lack of variety for low-fat or reduced-calorie options. Weight Watchers has outdone itself with a selection of cheeses that will bring back those comfort foods. Flavors like: Mexican Style, Mozzarella, Cheddar, American Cheese Singles, String Cheese, Cream Cheese, and spreadable cheese wedges.

In addition to the selection of Weight Watchers Cheeses, the brand has a line of sensible eating foods. They do adhere to the Weight Watchers points system but whether you are involved in the program or just looking for healthier options, Weight Watchers offers great alternatives.

Walmart Super Center had a promotion for the Shredded cheeses in an 8 ounce resealable bag for $2.50. I don’t recall the suggested price. I do know that it was comparable to regular cheese in price.
