Kidz Bop celebrates its 10th birthday, and my kiddos are eating up Kidz Bop 20. Every Kidz Bop CD has me loving it, but this one might just be my favorite. My kiddos are music savvy and this CD has music from artists they love like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopex and Taylor Swift. It’s music I don’t have to censor and they can belt out the lyrics to most of them after the first listening session!
I watch the thermometer and as the mercury climbs, my kiddos whine when they have to come inside. They love music and performing so KIDZ BOP 20 has been giving them great “stage” material. They love ‘Whip My Hair”, it’s how The Divine Miss M gets ready in the morning. It’s a hilarious sight as she belts out the lyrics with the CD, while, of course, whipping her hair back and forth!
This CD has songs that are catchy. I was nervous when I saw we were starting the CD with “Born This Way”. Lady Gaga does a great job and I’m not opposed to expression through music, however, I know there are others who wouldn’t be thrilled about my five-year-old taking center stage with Gaga’s lyrics. Kidz Bop 20 strips the lyrics and makes them kid-friendly. It’s a compromise and it works.
One of my favorite things about KIDZ BOP is I can sing a long and not be called “old”! KIDZ BOP 20 is 16 songs of greatness that are fun and have us all enjoying the music, which is good because it blasts through the house and in the yard!

My kiddos can’t get enough of this CD and I find myself enjoying it almost as much! Of course, I don’t climb on the bed and pretend it is a stage while I sing the song into a make-shift microphone…but it looks fun!
