Awhile back we shared that Evenflo was launching their new bebek collection.
After receiving the Evenflo bebek bottles, I am impressed by the design of the bottle. As a soon-to-be nursing mother, I want to be able to supplement Baby Girl’s feedings by pumping and bottle-feeding. With that being said, finding a bottle that a nursing baby will take is always a predicament. We have tried numerous bottles for each of our children. Ballerina would not take any bottle at all. She would just sleep until Mommy could come home and feed her. Big Boy and MES were a little easier in that department as long as the bottle was like Mom. Evenflo bebek bottle are more like mom with a wide-based nipple for easier latch. The nipple also rapidly vents air bubbles into the bottle instead of baby’s tummy to reduce the ever-dreaded colic. I tried to take a picture of the vent in the nipple, but my poor photography skills, I didn’t know how to capture that clear lid – so you’ll have to take my word that it really is kind of awesome the way they put a vent in the nipple – I’ve never seen it before in a bottle.
I like the design of the lid. It is easy to remove . We had some bottles at one point that I could not get the lid off. This lid is on when it is on, but the indented lid helps remove the air-tight suction grip. I also LOVE the orange top – no more losing a lid somewhere in the dishwasher or in the diaper bag because it is completely clear. It would also be helpful for children who attend daycare because I can easily differentiate my bottle from other parents’ bottles in the nursery.
I love the five-ounce size too. I know most bottles come in multiple sizes, but five-ounces is a good size that isn’t too big for a little one, and it isn’t so small that I have to keep re-filling it! The bottle’s ergonomic shape also makes it easier for Mommy and baby to hold. Can you see the indentations on the bottle? They are nifty, making the bottle a perfect size for my smaller hands.
These bottles are even top-rack dishwasher safe and BPA-free! I love that!
###Lauralee Saad loves homeschooling her three kiddos: Ballerina, age 8, Big Boy, age 6, and MESS, age 3. She enjoys sewing when she can find a spare corner to set up her machine and dig out fabrics, cooking and baking – especially if the kiddos are helping, and enjoying a good book after the kiddos have gone to bed. She is thrilled to be welcoming a baby girl into the family in March of 2012. |
