Why is Easter in March this year?

Easter can fall in March due to how it is calculated using the lunar calendar. It falls on the first Sunday following the full moon that occurs on or after the vernal equinox, typically around March 20th or 21st, marking the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.

Since the lunar cycle and solar year aren’t perfectly aligned, Easter can occur between March 22nd and April 25th. If the full moon occurs early in March and the following Sunday is the first Sunday after that, Easter can fall in March.

Ritual of Renewal

Ritual of Renewal Easter is a time of renewal, rebirth, and connection with the energies of spring and resurrection. In this ritual, we will harness the power of crystals to amplify our intentions, cleanse our spirits, and embrace the transformative energy of the season.

Items Needed:

  • A selection of crystals, including clear quartz, rose quartz, amethyst, citrine, and any others that resonate with you.
  • A small bowl of spring water or purified water.
  • Incense or sage for cleansing the space.
  • A candle to symbolize the light of renewal.
  • Optional: Flowers or other decorations to enhance the sacred space.

Ritual Of Renewal How-To:

  1. Begin by setting up your sacred space. Clear the area of any clutter and ensure you have a quiet, comfortable space to work in. Light the incense or sage to cleanse the space and create a peaceful atmosphere.
  2. Stand or sit comfortably in front of your sacred space. Close your eyes and take several deep breaths to center yourself. Invoke the energy of Easter, a time of rebirth and renewal, and invite any deities or spiritual guides you work with to join you in this ritual.
  3. Take a moment to connect with the energy of each crystal in your selection. Feel their vibrations and intuitively choose the ones that resonate most strongly with you for this ritual. Place them in a circle around your sacred space, creating a harmonious energy field.
  4. Hold the bowl of water in your hands and visualize it being filled with the pure, revitalizing energy of spring. If you have a specific intention for this ritual, focus on infusing the water with that intention.
  5. Dip your fingers into the charged water and sprinkle it around your sacred space, cleansing the energy and purifying the atmosphere. Visualize any negative or stagnant energy being washed away, replaced by the vibrant energy of renewal.
  6. Light the candle as a symbol of the light of renewal and sit quietly in meditation. Reflect on the themes of Easter – rebirth, transformation, and new beginnings. Allow yourself to release anything that no longer serves you and embrace the potential for growth and change.
  7. Hold each crystal in your hands, one at a time, and state aloud an affirmation or intention that resonates with you. Feel the energy of the crystal amplifying your words and anchoring them into your consciousness.
  8. When you feel ready, thank any deities or spiritual guides who joined you in this ritual. Snuff out the candle, releasing your intentions into the universe. Take a moment to ground yourself and integrate the energy of the ritual before returning to your daily life.
