Our Norwegian Cakes and Cookies Review

I remember growing up and one of my classmates was from Finland. His mom made fascinating food for us. Maybe this is where my love for food originated. The thought of every culture having a plethora of tasty, delicious food. I wanted to try it all (and still do).

In Norwegian cakes and Cookies a new culture comes into my kitchen. Sure, some of the ingredients might be a little difficult to find, but once I find it we’re golden. The thought of introducing my children to Norwegian desserts and becoming accomplished in baking it really appeals to me. An adventure with new ingredients and new pans–I love it!

When I lived in Miami I learned that I am not fond of Cuban desserts. I LOVE the food, but could easily skip dessert. After reading through Norwegian Cakes and Cookies I’m thinking I don’t stand a chance. We’re talking cakes, tarts, pudding, candied fruits, chocolate and cookies!

Christian Burn, puts the decadence into photographs for this book and makes every item look like the one I want to try first.

There is a complete chapter dedicated to essential basic dessert recipes like tarts and pie crusts, vanilla custard and a dark chocolate glaze. They are tips for beginners and experts alike.
