Not Just Pretty on Pinterest Bon Jovi is Eye Candy for the Soul

This evening I’m thankful for Simply Stacie and Sassy Mama in LA  and their post inspiring Pretty on Pinterest meme where you can link up your posts on the theme of the week. Each week there’s a different theme for you to find pins you love on Pinterest and create a post to link up.

This week’s theme is your favorite icon!

I’m sure just reading that you already know the theme of MY post.

Not Just Pretty on Pinterest Bon Jovi is Eye Candy for the Soul

During the summer of 1985, my world changed while visiting this incredible friend in the hospital. Bon Jovi entered my life and I’ve been increasing my love with each day.

This is not to say I was immediately smitten with the band. Heavens no! It took me a weekend of listening to their album 7800 Fahrenheit to really sink my soul into them.
Back then, it wasn’t just four boys in the band. Nope! They traveled as five, with bassist Alec Such. He left in 1994–can’t say that I miss him.

With this poster, I added eye candy to my seriously blah and boring wall with this poster.

Through the years his style (and hair) has changed:

It’s okay because from Bon Jovi I have learned:

The more things change the more they stay the same
The same sunrise, it’s just another day
If you hang in long enough they say you’re comin’ back
Just take a look, we’re living proof and baby that’s a fact

Jon Bon Jovi has stood the tests of fame and age. His music has continued to rock my world and his down-to-earth style and humanitarian projects amaze me.

Last spring my Bon Jovi obsession went Global in the LA Times; these days, I’m keeping it Pretty on Pinterest with my Bon Jovi Rocks My World Pinboard
