Konsyl Fiber Review

This review is brought to you by Konsyl Fiber. All opinions are my own.

Fiber is something I am working diligently at incorporating into my diet. I’m not a “mover.”

I need help, and fiber help promote regularity, improve digestive health, and reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol, reducing blood sugar absorption, and giving the feeling of fullness, so one eats less.

I think all these things are great!

The flip side is not getting enough fiber causes problems like irregularity, unhealthy cholesterol, colon cancer, and diabetes.

I think all these things are bad.

Over the last ten years, I’ve tried increasing my fiber.

I’ve eaten stuff that has tasted like cardboard.

I’ve tried to incorporate a bowl of cereal in the morning, which turns out has a high glycemic index, so I was working my body against itself.

I’ve tried adding fiber to water and juice, but some of it tastes like chalk.

Through all this, I have learned that not all fibers are equal.

Some fiber types are natural to our diet, and some are modern creations.

Recently I’ve been trying Konsyl.

It’s psyllium fiber, derived from the out coating, or “husk” of the psyllium plant’s seeds

. It’s not a product of wheat, so it is gluten-free.

It’s safe for pregnant and nursing women.

The best part is one serving of Konsyl’s Original Formula provides six grams of psyllium fiber (equivalent to three grams of soluble fiber)–that’s about 75% more than the leading brands.

Psyllium absorbs the water around it very quickly.

When I first learned about fiber, I was shocked at what the American Dietetic Association recommends: between 25-38 grams of fiber every day.

I was barely hitting double digits.

Here’s a more in-depth recommendation from the American Dietetic Association:

38 grams for men under the age of 50 to 21 years of age
30 grams for men over 50 years of age
25 grams for women under the age of 50 to 21 years of age
21 grams for women over 50 years of age

By adding Konsyl to my diet, I am finding that I’m reaching my daily recommendation far easier.

It’s available in powder, capsule, and single-serve packets and is conveniently available for purchase on www.konsyl.com and various e-tailers, such as drugstore.comwalmart.comAmazon.com.

Konsyl is an excellent way to:

·  Relieve constipation and induce regularity  (even while pregnant)
·  Get relief from various gastrointestinal disorders, such as diverticulosis, Crohn’s disease, acid reflux, and IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
·  Reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol
·  Follow a heart-healthy diet

·  Help decrease blood cholesterol levels and help maintain healthy blood glucose and insulin levels

I have been using the Konsyl Original 450g for nearly a month.

Because the psyllium absorbs water quickly, it was more challenging to stir. Every order comes with a FREE Konsyl Shaker Cup. I found this the easiest way for mixing.

I’m a liquid junkie.

I am constantly drinking something, which made Konsyl easy to add to my routine.

It mixes well in a variety of drinks.

I’ve tried fruit juices, iced tea, and Crystal Light.

In the end, I find water works best for me.

The directions are very clear and concise on the packaging.

The best part: Konsyl Original 450g provides 3g of soluble fiber and 5g of dietary fiber.

That translates to 20 percent of an adult’s daily intake!

I also tried the Konsyl Balance 300g, which I think might be my favorite.

I believe in stimulating the growth of healthy bacteria inside me, and the balance keeps me regular.

I like the orange flavor.

It’s not overly orange, just mild.

I drink this about thirty minutes before I eat dinner to help me feel more full, and it keeps me full, so I don’t go on an eating binge (trust me, it happens).
