We received Yulu Operation Escape Room in exchange for this post. All opinions and our love for games remain our own.
We love the fun, creative games from Yulu. They are like miniature escape rooms at a table with friends. We love Yulu’s Safe Breaker and have been having a blast with Operation Escape Room.
Time is ticking. Your mission is to beat the clock and use your spy skills to save your friend.
That’s how all missions go; right?
Operation Escape Room is a play-at-home escape room for up to 4 players designed for players ages 6 and older.
The timer looks like a bomb device giving a fun prop to the game. Though some parents may not like this as it is designed to be strapped to someone.
There’s a dexterity challenge in the key cage. You need to use sticks to extract the key from the cage. You’ll need some reasoning skills here. This is the most difficult challenge in the game.
Puzzle cards that vary in difficulty are input into an answer checker. Answer three questions correct consecutively and earn another key. Answer one wrong and the key retracts, and you start over! Some of the cards are multiple choice. To win, you’ll require basic counting, which doesn’t belong, maze skills and reasoning.
Spin the lucky spinner and chosen windows open. The windows provide clues as to which window hides the key. This one is more a game of luck.
My kiddos love the Quiz Master. They get so excited when they answer correctly, and the key comes out. They sigh and whine when they answer incorrectly and the key snaps back!
It’s an easy game to play. There is very little assembly–you’ll need two AAA batteries for gameplay.
All in all Operation Escape Room is a fun game. It’s a quick play for my older children, but still entertaining.
