Regardless of the size of their family, home, pets, and several other conditions, they continue to do all kinds of tasks consistently and work around the clock.
Based on Salary.com’s survey in 2019, if we are to convert their output and work hours to money, they should be earning $178,201 annually.
Habits of successful SAHMs
Despite the lack of monetary reward and professional exposure, SAHMs are capable of keeping themselves successful in their chosen role.
Being the focused carer of their family gives them the pride and reward that is incomparable to any job.
The love they dedicate to their job is what makes most of them successful in their field.
Here are some habits most successful SAHMs do.
Be the first to wake up. Doing so will allow you enough time to plan and prepare for the day.
Observe a schedule or a routine
Create a tracker of to-do things for the day so you will always be on track.
You will know if there is free time that can be spent on hobbies or part-time work by having a tracker.
Create an easy-to-follow schedule.
Here’s how to come up with one:
Consider the schedules of your kids and husband. Take note of their wake up time, school schedules, work schedules, nap time, mealtime, bedtime.
Never over schedule. If there will be schedule conflicts, assess which should be prioritized. If both schedules are important, ask someone else to cover the other task.
Give a time allowance. Avoid creating a hectic schedule. Give yourself time to breathe.
Be flexible. Be ready for unexpected events.
Take care of yourself.

Find time to take a long bath, read a book, or watch your favorite television show.
Treat yourself with love.
Eat good food and be fit.

The challenge of being a SAHM is the fact that daily tasks are focused mainly on doing family and household chores.
The focus on oneself is often overlooked.
Having time to be fit and healthy is often ignored.

There are creative ways of how exercises can be incorporated into your daily routine.
Exercise with your kids
Join the kids when they are playing.
Encourage them to play physical instead of online games.
Run around, play hide and seek, ride bikes. If they are of age to do sport, better to teach and play a sport. Have fun while staying fit.
What you wear can encourage you to exercise. Being on a workout outfit will motivate you to move more and sweat more. You will also be reminded of your goal to exercise.
Do the extra
Run the stairs more. Stairs are a good medium for cardio exercise. Walk more. If the store or grocery is not that far, consider walking instead of driving when going there. Allot a few minutes every morning, upon waking up to go out, breathe the morning air and jog around the neighborhood.

Exercises need not require long hours. There’s a lot of 10-minute or 15-minute workout videos that are easy to follow. You can choose from cardio workouts, strengthening exercises, weight loss routines, or total body workout.

A weekly session with a fitness trainer will be helpful.
They provide a customized workout, which you can do at any time of the week.
