So Much Good Happens When We Bake
As a small girl, my memories are fond of being at my grandmother’s knee as she canned green beans and tomatoes. I have memories of my mother standing in the kitchen preparing dinners fit for a king and the house smelling like fresh-baked cookies, tantalizing tortes, cakes and more. As a new wife, I remember creating my first meals, perfecting them and being proud of what came out of the oven. These days, as a mother, I’m making the same recipes that made memories with my own children. It’s our time together–in the kitchen, around the table. Front and center in this family time is Country Crock®. Out of the refrigerator it spreads easily and Miss M can fill measuring cups without effort when measuring the margarine. Her favorite thing to make, cookies!
We aren’t just baking cookies, we are crafting love. Stories of the last time we made the cookies, where the recipe came from and time together as mother and daughter. It’s all baking, long before the smell of warm cookies transforms our home into the best place in the neighborhood!
With the help of a friendly grocery store, Country Crock was able to share with unsuspecting families the good that happens, when we bake. All that was needed were a few colored pencils, the modern magic of a 3D printer, and the reminder that watching a child’s imagination come to life is one of the special joys of baking together. Don’t miss the original film in the #WhenWeBake series at WhenWeBake.com.
The buttery spread is budget friendly and tastes great! It’s our go-to ingredient for soft, delicious cookies, creamy mashed potatoes, casseroles and melted on lightly toasted bread as part of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich–just like Charlotte the Great makes!
Country Crock offers 79 percent less saturated fat and 40 percent fewer calories than butter, plus there is no cholesterol! Country Crock® has less saturated fat than butter and contain 0g trans fat per serving, no cholesterol and no partially hydrogenated vegetable oils (PHVO).
It’s made with a touch of butter and real Canola Oil. I’m a big fan of the “Churn Style”–it’s rich and creamy, sweet and reminds me of homemade butter I use to make as a kid.
We turned Li’l Man’s frog drawing into a custom 3D Cookie Cutter. We recreated his artwork on a sugar cookie canvas and he was amazed!
These frog cookies came out great!
So much cuteness and they taste delicious!
