Recently, we received Smart Snacks Count ‘em Up Popcorn. It’s Big corny fun! Practice counting, numbers, and stacking with this fun set.
Playful way to build number recognition and practice counting sets. Children love having fun. Mine especially loved counting and learning to measure.
Smart Snacks Count ‘em Up Popcorn Includes:
- 15 jumbo popcorn pieces
- 5 different-size bowls (printed with numbers 1–5). Bowls nest to store.
It’s themed like movie popcorn with the red and white striped bowls.
Each popcorn kernel is large, making it difficult for a child to swallow. Since the jumbo popcorn are made of hard plastic, they can be rinsed off with water and cleaned easily if they get dirty. They are also very durable. Adults can step on them without leaving dents or smashing them.
The bowls have the numbers 1-5 on them. They sequence smaller to larger with each number. One being the smallest and Five being the largest. The largest bowl measures 2¼-inches high x 4¾-inches in diameter.
The object is for children to count and sort the large popcorn kernels into the bowl. Bowl number 1 would have one fluffy popcorn piece, while bowl number four would have four. This not only teaches counting, number identification but helps develop fine motor skills.
It’s simple. It doesn’t require batteries. It’s fun and educational.
The one drawback is storage. The bowls do nest inside of one another, however, that leaves the jumbo popcorn. For easy storage keep the popcorn kernels in the bowls, or keep the popcorn kernels in a plastic bag and stack the bowls. It’s personal preference here.
Smart Snacks Count ‘em Up Popcorn is a great learning resource. Children will love the creative play and be learning as they play.
