I received Store in a drawer, Set of 4 Cutting Mats in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
My kitchen is very small and has minimal prep space. If I want to cut something as part of meal preparation, I have to clear a space, pull out the big cutting board, cut the item and clear it before I can move to the next part of preparation. it isn’t convenient. I needed a small cutting board that was compact, stored easily and wasn’t a great deal of effort to pull out to use. The Store in a Drawer Set of 4 cutting mats has been my salvation.
Each is just 12 x 8 x 5/32 inches (about the size of a piece of paper), thin and flexible. They fit perfectly in a kitchen drawer. I love that they are color coded with a food icon in the corner (an icon for meat, fruit, vegetable and seafood). This makes it easy to select the one for my need and not worrying about cross-contamination of food. The mats themselves are non-toxic and safe with BACTEKILLER protection.
They are magic like Wolverine with their self-healing surface so it’s ready for me after each cut.
I love that I can just wipe them clean with warm soapy water and keep going.
The mats are very flexible, making it easy to encase the chopped ingredients to transfer to a pan, pour into a container or whatever is needed.
One of my favorite features of this flexible cutting mat is the grid. The grid allows me to slice or cube vegetables, fruit, meat, sandwiches precisely. I just have to essentially “connect the dots”. There is also a ruler along the edge so you can measure the length you need for perfectly uniformed preparation.
This set of four cutting mats would be perfect for camping, for small kitchens (like mine), or as a side-kick to a full sized cutting board. They have many features that make them ideal for cooking.
