We received Shark Bite in exchange for this post. All opinions and our love for family-friendly games remain our own.
Forget waiting for Shark Week! Goliath Games has a new game where you rescue fish from the jaws of a very hungry shark! The game is Shark Bite and it’s so much fun!
Roll the die for your mission. How many fish you need to save is displayed on the die. One fish or two.
Then it gets tricky.
Can you rescue your fish before those big, toothy, sharp teeth stop you?
My kiddos were so excited to play this game.
The game includes a die, mechanical shark, 12 fish that rest inside the jaws of the shark awaiting rescue and two fishing rods.
The object is to rescue the fish before the shark’s jaws chomp closed!
Once the holes are revealed, snap the fish into place. One fish in each hole.
Roll the die to determine how many fish you must retrieve.
Then the player uses the fishing rod to hook the fish and pull them out of harm’s way.
Be warned, you only get to count the fish as “safe” once it has completely passed the jaws of the shark.
The player with the most fish at the end of the game wins.
But…be warned, the shark is apt to bite at any moment.
My kiddos really enjoy playing this game. It is a quick game. It allows up to four players–you just have to share the fishing rods.
Shark Bite is recommended for ages four years and older.
My kiddos concentrate and hold their breath as they fish and then either exhale with relief if they clear the shark’s jaws, or squeal and laugh if the shark bites!
Shark Bite by Goliath Games is available at toy retailers nationwide and through Amazon.
