SmartShield Self-Tanner REVIEW
I love the sun. I love how it warms me.
I love its power to take me from pale to golden.
I feel amazing with a tan.
My dad was diagnosed with skin cancer.
on his face.
A small mole no larger than the tip of a pencil’s lead turned into a 3″ scar on the side of his face.
That is when my love affair.
That hot and lusty, affectionate affair came to an instant halt.
Call me vain but skin cancer is just not for me.
I’m now a sunscreen lathering fool!
I bathe my skin in it.
I bathe my children in it.
Okay, not literally bathe, but we’re drenched in the stuff!
A few times I’ve tried self-tanners only to find that I looked like the fruit in a sunny Florida Orchard, ripe and ready for orange juice.
I walking freak-show with my glowing orange skin.
Then it arrived.
Smart Sheild Self Tanner with SPF15.
Can you hear the angels singing?
I was skeptical.
I’d never heard of this product and was already leary of the orange flesh tone secretively concealed in these bottle labeled “Self-tanner”, but I’m all about “taking one for the team”, so I smeared it on.
It was nice!
It went on very lightly and absorbed instantly!
It didn’t wreak of sunscreen (what DO they put in THAT stuff?).
Smart Shield didn’t evacuate the room when I opened the lid.
My skin absorbed it and it was not at all greasy. It was just a nice moisturized feeling lotion.
Within a few hours, my skin started to glow with the tan I have so missed.
It wasn’t orange, but a light golden glow!
I used Smart Sheild Self Tanner with SPF 15 in place of my regular moisturizer for one week.
Each morning after washing my face I applied it liberally to my face and neck.
My sixteen-year-old, who was clueless of my beauty regimen commented four days into my “trial”, said, “Mom, where have you been getting sun? You have a nice tan!”
I told him “I’ve been using Smart Shield Self-Tanner.”
He replied, “Are you kidding?”
How could I not love this stuff?
To up the ante, Smart Shield is eco-friendly and uses DHA, instead of dyes or stains to cause the body to produce melanin and create a natural, safe tan.
The oil-free formula contains Vitamins A, C, and E and Aloe Vera.
It blocks both UVB and UVA rays that cause premature aging with Avobenzone.
Smart Shield Self-Tanner with SPF15 is available through the Smart Shield Website for $12.99.
It’s worth it if you want a natural-looking tan that still protects you from those evil UVB and UVA rays that can cause skin cancer.
