This year give a gift that gives back with Rain Tees. It’s a company that started doing good by donating school supplies to children living in endangered rainforests and now helps children in need worldwide.
Rain Tees are more than a tee shirt, they are handmade right here in the United States. Every tee-shirt is made with eco-friendly fabrics. The best part is the tee-shirts feature original artwork by children living in countries and communities with poverty, no access or limited access to education and that are facing environmental destruction. Children are precious and I love that Rain Tees is helping them.
Aside from donating thousands of art and school supplies in more than 15 countries, every Rain Tee sold, allows a tree to be planted in a critically endangered area of the world. This is possible through Rain Tee’s charity partner, Trees for the Future, who has planted nearly 65-million trees since 1988, helping thousands of communities in Asia, Central America and Africa. Trees for the Future uses cutting-edge agroforesting. It’s a project that every year helps our environment by removing over one million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere.
At age 22, Beth Doane, developed Andira International. Through this company she was centered on launching importing and distributing exclusive European brands into the US Market. The name “Andira” describes a tall tree indigenous to the Brazilian Amazon and used for centuries by the locals for its medicinal properties. Near extinction now due to agricultural expansion, oil drilling and logging, Beth realized how detrimental the fashion industry can be for the environment. In 2007, Doane introduced Rain Tees, a brand that educates consumers on the critical social and environmental issues as well as help end the negative effects of climate change.
Rain Tees is a gift that gives back. It’s the perfect addition to the gift-giving list.
