The Holidays are a time of love. I am always amazed at how friendly total strangers are this time of year. Recently, my friend, Jess, shared with me Project GG Love. I thought it was the perfect gift for Christmas. If you are looking for a simple service project or just want to put a smile on someone’s face, this project is for everyone!
Jackie’s dad is fighting cancer. It’s a difficult fight. I’m watching first hand what it does to a family and with the Holidays we’re all trying to make one last memory. Jackie wants to create a gift that is special, the resonates across the world.
This holiday season I only want one thing; for my dad to know how much he is loved. So I’m doing a project that I call Project GG LOVE.There is about one month until Christmas and I want this to be a special gift to him from everyone that loves him and even from those who do not know him, but have a kind heart. My dad is fighting liver cancer and is so dear to my heart. I believe feeling loved is a reason to keep fighting to live and I hope this book will do just that for him.
Project GG is like a “Thinking of You” card, but, like, a million times better because it will be a handmade thinking of you book. Jackie is asking merely for the gift of kind words. Feel free to share your memories, favorite quotes, old pictures, lyrics, drawings from the kiddos, coloring book pages or anything else to let her dad know how much he is loved.
It will be made to fit standard computer sized paper, so please don’t send anything larger.
GG is a seasoned musician. He plays percussion; including congas, bongos and timbales. He is a fan of Jazz, Carlos Santana and Jimmy Buffet.
Please encourage your friends, family, church, school, clubs and co-workers to join in. The more the merrier.
Please remember to include your name and where you are from so GG Project can show that love abounds in every corner of this world.
All “Love” should be received by December 22, to ensure it be captured in the book.
“Love” can be shared on Project GG Love’s Facebook Wall–it takes just a moment to leave a post of “Love”. It can be received through email projectgglove at yahoo dot com. Jackie is also open to those who request her snail mail address to send something; contact her through email for those details.
Thank you in advance for supporting Project GG Love. Love is one of the greatest gifts.
