Week 2 on Personal Trainer Food.
I keep rubbing my eyes wondering if this is real. No counting calories? No food journal? No meal replacement shakes? The only exercise I am encouraged to do is a 20-minute walk?
It’s not like any diet I have ever been on and yet the numbers on the scale keep getting smaller.
It’s Personal Fitness Food whose simplified my life. Imagine having weight loss meals delivered to your home. No more trying to come up with something healthy, finding time to pre-pack lunches and cooking healthy. I partnered with Personal Trainer Food and am hoping for amazing things.
Let’s talk about Week 2.
For the most part, it’s been easy.
There have also been some challenges.
So? Wednesday, MacKenzie had soccer. It was an away game, and we live in a rural area so we had to travel to the “county” about 45 minutes. I didn’t pack enough water, so when we stopped to get gas, I went in and grabbed this:
I read the ingredients and there was nothing but vegetables, so I opened it.
I drank it.
I loved it.
Then, after that last swig, I put the cap on the bottle.
That’s when I saw it.
11-grams of sugar.
I was beside myself. I said to my husband, “I read if it was meat, eggs, or vegetables it was fair game. Something is wrong.”
My husband said, “Beets. Can you have beets?”
So I was mad at myself. I should have checked not only the ingredients but the nutritional grid also. When I say I was mad at myself. I was. But for the first time ever. On any diet. I just was mad. I didn’t start shoving crap in my mouth. I didn’t throw up my hands and say, “I’m having cake. Why not? Today is a wash. I’ll get back on the diet wagon tomorrow.”
I just was mad at myself. Then I told myself, “Okay, it’s 11 grams of sugar. Be more diligent and carry on.”
That’s exactly what I did. I check labels now. I read and reread the Personal Trainer Food brochure to make myself more aware.
Thursday, my dress for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Event arrived. I ordered the same size I have worn for three years. I was giddy when I pulled the dress out of the package.
I put it on.
It was HUGE on me!
Before I tell you about my weigh in, I want to share with you that my relationship with food is the healthiest it’s been since–forever. I can make decisions.
The food is good. It fills me. I don’t have cravings.
Here’s what a typical day looks like on Personal Trainer Food:
Meet Breakfast. Typically an omelet with sausage or bacon. Out of the freezer it takes 1.5 minutes to prepare. Eggs are fluffy and have a fresh egg texture.
Lunch. Choose a protein and a vegetable. Protein takes 1.5 minutes to prepare and vegetables take 2 minutes.
Dinner. Pick and protein and a vegetable.
