A baby monitor is a beautiful thing. The new Panasonic Long-Range Video Baby Monitor, works on a closed DECT technology network of up to 1500 feet of interference-free range. That’s over 4 football fields with clear and safe monitoring.
Technology moves quickly and it’s “smart”. From wearable devices that measure heart rates and oxygen levels to app connected to turn on your washing machine, start dinner and more, the Panasonic Long Range Video Baby Monitor shows off with the ability to integrate into the larger system–Panasonic Home Network.
My days of raising children were baby monitors that worked more like walkie-talkies. Opening the Panasonic Long-Range Baby Monitor gave me pause to assess just how much life changes when you aren’t paying attention!

Panasonic Long-Range Baby Monitor in Use
This is a modern looking baby monitor.
The monitor is small in size, measuring approximately 5-inches wide and 3-inches tall, without the antenna, extended. The monitor screen measures 3-inches wide and 2-inches tall.
It has an easy to read screen. The top of the screen gives notifications.
The camera has a built-in temperature sensor. The left of the screen shows the temperature in the room where the camera is located. If the temperature in the room exceeds the range in the temperature setting it will send a notification. The settings allow easy adjustment for seasons and as baby grows.
Because the Panasonic Long Range Baby Monitor is designed to easily integrate into the brand’s smart home system, there is also a setting that shows the camera unit number. This would be used as you expand your smart home system and connect additional cameras.
The center of the screen has an icon of a baby crawling. This notification alerts when there is movement detected.
Next to the baby crawling icon, is the notification for sound detection. When sound is detected, this notification will be present.
Finally, the system has a range status indicator to notify that you are within range as well as a battery level indicator.
A chime will sound for each notification as well as an LED light and then the notification will appear on the monitor screen.
The Panasonic Long-Range Baby Monitor also offers these amazing features:
