So, you’ve decided to go on vacation… with your mom, who’s in her seventies, here are tips for packing for a senior and what she should take along.
It’ll be an experience; that much anyone can tell you!
It’ll be a time you’ll always remember.
But if you’re planning on helping your mom pack, or doing her a favor and packing up for her, it can get a bit overwhelming, because you haven’t yet reached that stage of life, so you probably aren’t sure exactly what mom will need to take along for the journey.
And, being the good daughter you are, you want to make sure that your mom will have everything she needs!
Well, there’s no need to worry, since today you’re going to find out everything an older person would need to bring along.
If you pack for your mom using this guide, you can rest assured that you won’t wake up in the middle of the night on the flight in a cold sweat, realizing that you forgot to take along overnight diapers, and she needs them.
That won’t happen, because if you follow the packing list below while you get all mom’s stuff together, you’ll have taken diapers, gloves, slippers, and everything else mom may need.

No, I don’t think you’ve forgotten about that!
But there are a lot of different items of clothing you’re going to need to bring along, and being that we’re only human, it’s normal to forget one or two from the many.
But not if you follow the following! Mom’s going to need some or all of these:
Sweaters & sweatshirts
Swimsuits & cover-ups
When you’re going on vacation, sometimes, one pair of shoes just simply won’t do it.
Here’s what to choose from:
Just in case you’re traveling to a place that’s on the colder side, I’ve included a quick list of items you may want to have with you in such circumstances.
Some of the seemingly random but often essential items below are actually the most commonly forgotten ones!
Passport, ID, and/or Visa
Copy of aforementioned item(s) (kept in a secure place in the suitcase)
Stuff for Seniors
Yes, some stuff is more for seniors than anyone else, and, kidding aside, it’s important to make sure mom has those things!
Some of them can be crucial, and others will simply make her (or you) more comfortable.
Change of clothes for the flight
List of Medications & when each should be taken
Any necessary portable mobility aid
So, last but not least!
Here’s a list of everything your mom may need, from toothpaste to makeup and everything in between.

Everyone has their own opinion of what’s essential to keep in their carry-on.
