oogaa makes feeding fun. We received a mealtime set from oogaa for Baby to begin her first feedings, but, truthfully, I don’t think MES will give them up when it’s time for Baby to take those first bites of rice cereal! MES loves oogaa, and who wouldn’t love to eat from a colorful bowl and spoon set?
oogaa, the innovative design company creates safe sustainable fun products for children.
Their products feature bright, bold and engaging mealtime designs that entertain little ones as they make life easier for adults.
Our children are great eaters (I’m not bragging; it’s just the truth).
They eat anything that we are eating (unless it’s overly spicy or just way out there!).
I chalk up their good eating habits to our hard work when they were babies.
With each one of them, we pleasantly coerced them into trying everything we were eating.
We used voices from their favorite shows (Oobi was the biggest hit for getting them to eat!), songs that we made up or learned about each food we were eating, and, of course, the old stand-by, “Open up for the choo-choo train!” or “Here comes the airplane in for a landing!”
ooga takes Mommy’s choo-choo sounds to a new level.
Now, Little One can actually see the choo-choo or the airplane coming into the tunnel with the food.
Now, I am not a fan of plastics for my kiddos.
We train them early with glasses, regular plates, and real silverware because I don’t want those icky chemicals in the house, but ooga is different.
ooga is made from bright, colorful silicone.
Why use silicone?
Silicone will not corrode or deteriorate like plastic products.
Silicone will not support the growth of fungus, mold, or bacteria, and it is odorless and tasteless.
Silicone is also heat resistant, microwave safe & dishwasher safe.
I love that these 9 oz bowls can not chip or break; gosh, they don’t even clackety-clank when MES slams it on the granite countertops!
I love that the spoons are soft plastic for those early teething days.
That little train on the spoon will also make a great teether for Baby and the handle will be easy enough for her to grab while she sticks the spoon or train or plane wings in her mouth!
The only drawback to ooga that I have seen – and it is more because we are using ours with a four-year-old – is that if there is liquid in the bowl, I have to be very careful how I handle it.
I can’t just pick it up with one hand or the silicone folds over making big messes.
I don’t let MES handle her own bowl if it has food in it.
With a baby or toddler, that is a moot point because she won’t be handling her own bowl anyway.
The spoons, however, are very sturdy and do not bend at all with the weight of the food.
Although the bowls are quite wide and relatively flat, I am looking forward to seeing a plate option for toddlers!
oogaa is making a product we can all feel good about and have fun using!
Every spoon tells a story, so open wide and let the oogas in!
oogaa designs its unique products for a global mix of cultures and communities who share one thing in common: a desire to provide only the very best for their baby.
|Lauralee Saad loves homeschooling her three kiddos: Ballerina, age 8, Big Boy, age 6, and MESS, age 3. She enjoys sewing when she can find a spare corner to set up her machine and dig out fabrics, cooking and baking – especially if the kiddos are helping, and enjoying a good book after the kiddos have gone to bed. She is thrilled to have welcomed a baby girl into the family on March 23, 2012.|
