We returned from vacation and found a DVD of Almost Naked Animals. My children said they had never heard of it and after studying the cover for a bit they plugged it in and were intrigued by the characters. It’s a unique premise for a character, animals who have shaved off their fur and wear only underclothing living life inside the Banana Cabana, a tropical resort.
Almost Naked Animals is a top-rated animated series created for kiddos ages 6-11. It airs on Cartoon Network.
My children think Almost Naked Animals is great! Each episode follows a dog, named Howie, and his misfit crew through some pretty unusual adventures. Howies crew consists of an octopus named Octo, who is also Howie’s best friend and the desk clerk at the tropical resort. There’s Duck, a duck who does anything to get the random jobs done. Bunny, a rabbit, is the activity planner. Piggy, who is the ninja-trained master chef and speaks in broken English, which my son thinks is hilarious. A whale with the name Narwhal who has a lounge gig doing what he loves most, singing. There’s also, Sloth, my children’s favorite character. Sloth has a crush on Howie and everything she does is s-l-o-w.
The Almost Naked Animals DVD will be released September 25, 2012. It’s a DVD my kiddos are enjoying watching over and over. I’d rate it PG.
