Dominoes make excellent math manipulatives. There are many different games that can be played with them to help solidify math computation.
You can create your own Connect the Dots Domino game using popsicle sticks and circle stickers. Thes math fact dominoes will not only serve as a practice of multiplication, but it’s a fun game to play.
Working on subtraction, multiplication or division instead? No problem! Just swap out the math facts and answers.
For this Math Facts Game, you will need:
- popsicle sticks
- a pack of colored dot stickers
- Sharpie pen
Write you multiplication facts on one color dots and the answers on a different color dot.
Stick on math fact color dot on the left side of each popsicle stick and the sum colored a sum colored dot on the right side of a different popsicle stick.
Mixing up the problems and solutions is what makes the domino game work so be sure to put them on different sticks rather than the math fact and its sum on the same stick.
To play, randomly pick one of the dominoes math fact sticks from a pile and read the math fact dot.
Stick by stick, solve each math fact by matching the sum dot to the math fact.
