I received Easy as Pie Pops by Andrea Smetona in order to facilitate an honest review.
The expression, “Easy as Pie” always makes me hungry. I love pie. It is a tasty treat. Flakey dough, sumptuous fillings, plain or served with a scoop of ice cream; Pie is a dessert that begs for me to consume it.
Andrea Smetona, founder of Cakewalk Desserts, makes this favorite dessert more fun and manageable with her new book, Easy as Pie Pops–Small in Size and Huge on Flavor and Fun. It’s like having y our own personal, portable sweet treat on a stick! Let’s face it, even with Cake Pops, I didn’t see Pie Pops on the horizon! I’m loving this concept!
Nestled inside the cover, are recipes ranging from Fruit Pie Pops, Savory Pie Pops, Cake Pops and Tea cakes. I’m talking all your favorites:
- Pumpkin Cheesecake
- Peppermint Pudding
- Nutella S’more
- Coconut Cream
- Black Forrest
- Honeyed Fig
Even some beyond dessert like Gouda-Broccoli Quiche!
This book is a must have and suits the beginner to the more advance pie maker with tips and helpful hints that Smetona has learned along the way. It’s a perfect addition to the holidays and the miniature pastries will add whimsical charm to any evening or event.
It’s a great cookbook to add to any collection and one whose recipes you’ll be going to again and again!
