Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this blog post. The opinions I share are my own.
As a Gilmore fan, I can admit it: There will never be enough Gilmore Girls episodes. Bringing back Gilmore Girls may have been the year’s best idea!
It’s true; it’s a sappy drama. Still, I love the dialogue and love, love, love the pop culture! It’s a show even my MacKenzie has become a fan of quite quickly.
Watching it with my husband is taboo. He points out the obvious: Rory is spoiled, Lorelai is immature, and the prop cups never have liquid.
From 2000 to 2005 Gilmore Girls was about what we all wanted, to grow up and not just be a success, but important. It was a relationship between daughters and mothers.
Now, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is available on DVD and Digital, November 28th, just in time for Holiday Gift Giving.
It’s a blast from the past as we go back to the nostalgic Stars Hallow for a reunion with our favorite characters and a revival of the series, Gilmore Girls.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life Synopsis:
Nearly ten years after the original series ended, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life begins, Lorelai still runs the Dragonfly Inn (and chugs coffee like it’s water) and Rory, now 32, has experienced some career success. As Rory works through job-related struggles and Lorelai deals with some unresolved issues of her own, Emily Gilmore has been handling the loss of her dear husband, Richard. Emily is at a major crossroads in her life, recently widowed and trying to figure out what to do next. Richard’s death forces Emily and Lorelai to finally reexamine their own fraught relationship, which hasn’t changed much since the beginning of the series.
