Be Careful What You Ask For-Pantry Cleaning

Yesterday was the first day of summer vacation.

We started our summer chore list, which means we’re all working together to get things in order so we can all play!

The children’s first task was to “clear the pantry shelves behind the door so that we can organize it”. After all, it’s been a collecting school supplies, odds and ends, and the place it goes when it doesn’t have a “home”. It was a mess.

The kiddos took off and a few moments later they said they were done.

After about ten minutes of fighting my way through the door that wouldn’t budge, this is what I discovered:

Be careful what you ask for

Be careful what you ask for

Next time I’m going to be perfectly clear and ask specifically for what is needed. It took hours to get this mess cleaned up yesterday.
