For many of us, the weekend is the time to unwind after and busy and stressful week and finally, after five whole, long days, a chance to spend our time and energy on doing something we actually love.
However, once the weekend rolls around, it’s not uncommon to find ourselves thinking of what to do. In most cases, we’re so spoilt for ideas that it’s hard to know which one you want to do, which can always leave us with doing nothing but binge-watching a mediocre Netflix series.
But not anymore! Today, we explore six of the most unique, exciting and most creative activities we can think of! Go through the list, pick your favorite, and have a weekend that makes it worth waiting for!
6 Fun, Creative Activities to Do This Weekend
1 – Get Out in Nature
It’s free, it’s easy, and it’s incredibly beneficial for your health. Whether you’re simply going for a walk around the block or down to your local park, or you’re going further afield to a national park or forested area, get outside, get some fresh air, and feel great when doing it!
2 – Tick Something Off Your Bucket List
Have you ever wanted to do a skydive? Climb a mountain? Go scuba diving? We all have items on our bucket list we’d love to do, but never seem to find the time to do them. What are you waiting for?
From Friday night to Monday morning, you’ve got plenty of time to do anything, and with a bit of organization, and maybe a bit of saving, you can do anything you want, so why not do something you love the idea of doing?
3 – Take a Creative Class
There are so many creative classes available that it’s hard to know where to begin. Whether you’ve always wanted to try painting, writing a book, pottery, sewing, drawing, running, and all the other mysterious and odd classes out there; there’s something out there for everyone!
4 – Escape an Escape Room
Escape rooms are all the rage right now, and there’s no escaping (no pun intended) the fun and excitement that can be had from trying out this increasingly popular trend yourself. Get locked in a room with some of your best friends and loved ones and simply find clues to help you escape!
The chances are there’s an escape room in your area, so get a group together, book your slot, and start putting your brains to the test. This is a great way to build relationships and build your team skills!
5 – Have a Games Day
Once you start to realize just how many board games are out there when you start looking, you start to realize just how much fun can be had on a dedicated games day. Some games are simple, and anyone can play, and far more than you may need a bit of practice with.
Either way, whatever your skill set or interest, you’re sure to find a game out there both you and loved ones can sink a day into!
6 – Host a BBQ
Not so much activity, but a great idea if you want to pull in your friends and family and have a good time. Of course, this is weather dependent, but if you can find a good day, getting everyone to bring one piece of food and a drink is enough to get everyone having a good time!
While many of us like to relax at the weekend, why not do something special and make the most of your time off? Live life to its full potential and make some amazing memories along the way!
