Our The Little Book of Sketching Review

I received The Little Book of Sketching in exchange for this post. All opinions remain my own.

The Little Book of Sketching has made me realize that I have a confession. I am a doodler and sketcher. I don’t know that I do it necessarily consciously. With pen or pencil in hand and a piece of paper I just start drawing.

Everyone suffers from a little boredom. Sketching is my remedy. With The Little Book of Sketching, I’m finding so much artistic inspiration.

I think sketching is such a great outlet. It entertains and occupies while your being held captive in a long meeting, a waiting room or waiting anywhere. It’s something that inspires and entertains. It passes time with basic things like a pencil, paper and imagination.

The Little Book of Sketching is filled with quirky, witty sketches and plenty of fun, aspiring sketchers will enjoy. It’s like turning life’s lemons into inspired artistic moments.

This book takes simple drawing ideas and minimal tools to make off-the-cuff sketching accessible to anyone, anywhere. The book begins with a brief introduction to the artist’s process and then treats the eyes to a plethora of scenarios and situations to draw inspiration to create your own doodled artwork.

I spend a lot of time at my desk at work. I leave myself sketches as reminders. Like a lamp on a sticky note with the light on to remind me to turn the lights out when I leave. I rotate them out and people always ask me what they are. It’s like my own language.

I love The Little Book of Sketching, if only for the humor in the pictures. I look through them and laugh out loud at their message.

The illustrations and prompts are sure to induce a smilereduce stress, and deliver creative inspiration throughout your daily life.

The Little Book of Sketching makes a great gift and is the perfect companion to The Little Book of Lettering and Word Design.
