Let’s face it, Bloggers can be classified as list makers. Somewhere, we all yearn to be in the Top Ten or Top Five of all Mommy Blogs, Beauty Blogs, Foodie Blogs, etc. I admit, there are days that dream runs more passionately than others for me.
Over my tenure as a blogger I have signed up to be in numerous groups. Some for the purpose of socializing with some really great women, others for the prospect of a campaign. All have required my email address.
Not long ago, a list made it to me. I recognize so many of the bloggers either by their name or their blog’s name. Even more outstanding was that this list contained not only the blogger’s name and blog website URL, it also contained Twitter IDs, Facebook URLs and more. I was in awe of this list.
When I saw my information on the list I had to stop for a moment. First, I didn’t think I ranked worthy in the shadows of some of these bloggers. I reached out to where the list came from and was told that the list had been purchased.
We all know many bloggers are looking to make income from their blogs, but I never dreamed a blogger would sell THE List of their colleagues. After all, we vent together, we bond together we “are family”. Right?
Turns out, one blogger out there is selling our contact information. Folks can buy all of our information for a sum of $150.
So, how would you feel if you were one of the 200-300 bloggers that made THE List?
