Shaklee180 Weight Loss Plan Update
It’s time for my Shaklee180 weight loss plan update for May.
That’s the first thing that comes to mind. Allow me to fill you in on this month.
We moved. It’s the third move in three months, but I we are stable now. Settling in.
While moving the tie rod on my car broke–turns out both front axels also needed to be replaced. Cha-ching!
Right after moving, Li’l Man came to me asking me what the itchy bumps were on his arm. The actually covered his abdomen, neck, face and arms. Yeah, Poison Oak does that to a kid.
Li’l Man also has end of the school year countdown going on so his focus is NOT at school…which has led to behavior issues and cantankerous fights over homework.
What does this have to do with my weight loss plan?
Well…you probably already know I’m an emotional eater. Day after day I started with Shaklee180. I was diligent until about 2pm and then came my downfall–if it wasn’t nailed down it was going in my mouth. This lead to the tutorial on How to Eat a Cupcake.
To add to the fun, I apparently don’t know how to read a tape measure. I took my measurements when I started and went to take my measurements again. The tape still reads the same.
Food in my face.
I know the tape measure can’t be right because look at my pants!
Then there’s the scale. It says I gained 4 pounds.
Food in my face.
The moment my Weight Loss Plan Changed
Then my new shipment of Shaklee180 arrived and as the kiddos were helping me carry the boxes in, one of them asked, “What’s in these boxes?”
“It’s my Shaklee180 diet stuff.”
“Does it work?”
“I know bloggers have lost 30 pounds on it since we started the challenge.” Check out Lizz’s 31 pound weight loss journey.
“Why haven’t you?”
The best I could come up with was the truth.
“These boxes come with the tools, but NOT willpower.”
It was then I realized, I’ve been telling myself BIG FAT LIES!
Every time I shove food in my face, nothing changes (except my waist)!
Every time I shove food in my face, I let myself down.
Every time I shove food in my face, I am pushing my goal farther out.
Every time I shove food in my face, I am failing myself.
So? I had a long, ugly talk with myself and pledged to do better. To think before I eat.
How I turned my weight loss plan around
Then, we went to Disney World.
I took my Shaklee180 bars with me.
It was totally easy. I just ate a bar in the morning before we headed out. Shoved a bar in my pocket for lunch at the park. Dinner was challenging for my food addiction, but I did pretty well sticking to vegetables and fruits with lean protein. Not perfect, but I’m learning.
We’re back home. I’m on Day 3 of a perfect Shaklee180 TurnAround commitment.
I’ve not cheated. I’ve not shoved food in my face. I’ve stopped telling myself those BIG FAT LIES and am holding myself accountable.
Sure, my tummy rumbles and there are cravings galore.
But you know what?
I. Am. Enough.
I’m going to exercise willpower and reach my goal!
