The Beep Bop diaper bag was created by a mother of two young children who was inspired by her own challenges to find the perfect diaper bag. What a challenge it is! There are so many bags out there, and they are so expensive. I, personally, don’t like the cutesy, baby bags with characters on them or the really bright vinyl bags with the baby prints. I want a bag that looks like a purse that holds everything I need for all of the kiddos and for me.
Bee Bop Diaper Bag comes with 7 pockets to keep you organized. This includes 2 large pockets in the front, a side cell phone pocket, side water bottle pocket, four interior pockets and a main interior compartment. The exterior pockets are nice because they have a small velcro closure to keep what’s in in. I like to keep a burp cloth handy for my little spitty-uppy Clara. I keep my wallet and sunglasses in the second exterior pocket for convenience.
I am not a water-bottle toting kind of girl, so the water bottle pocket is used for small toys of MES; she likes to see that I haven’t lost her precious ponies while we are out and about. The cell phone pocket is too small for a smart phone with an otterbox cover, but if you have a smaller phone, it would work nicely. It has a flap with velcro closure to keep the cell phone from falling out if your bag goes upside down.
When I think of large pockets, I think it might hold a diaper or two, but these pockets are HUGE – what a PLUS! You can pack at least four diapers in each interior pocket. I can even put a small box of diaper wipes in the pocket.
The main compartment is roomy enough for a blanket, small snuggle toy, a few books, and the changing pad that is included. I like to keep my Cool Wazoo in the main compartment to keep the car tidy while we aren’t using it. I keep my traveling Moby in the main compartment too. It’s a really large diaper bag without looking and feeling like a suitcase! What a great way to stay organized!
The bag comes in basic black so that either mommy or daddy can wear it and it will go with anything. The bag comes with a black padded changing pad. There is also padding on the shoulder strap to maintain comfort while wearing. There is a zipper enclosure for the main compartment so that everything stays inside when your bag is dumped upside-down, which my kiddos are prone to do whenever there is a bag in the car. The changing pad is somewhat flimsy and the fabric doesn’t seem like it would wipe down well. I usually carry my Cool Wazoo as a changing pad, so I haven’t really used the one that came with my Bee Bop diaper bag. The shoulder pad is great. It offers quite a bit of comfort for carrying the bag while I am carrying baby.
While the Bee Bop works well at holding LOTS of stuff and is basic black so you aren’t screaming to world, “I have a baby bag!”, I am still searching for my perfect baby bag. The fabric is a thin canvas, and I felt a little on the flimsy side; however, I wonder if the bag would be too bulky if it were a better canvas? This bag IS a diaper bag, and I think that I am looking more for a large purse that could double as a diaper bag because I want leather straps instead of nylon. I want it to have a little more panache for day-to-day carrying. I will use the Bee Bop for Clara’s items. When we have to sit for an hour at ballet, it will be wonderful to tote her toys and a play mat. It will be AWESOME for a vacation as an overnight baby bag because it holds SO MUCH!
The best part of the Bee Bop is that they are donating a portion of the proceeds to Stand: For Families Free of Violence. Besides being a helpful product, each purchase goes towards protecting families from domestic violence and child abuse.
This product is great for parents because it’s a hold-everything kind of bag while keeping you organized. You can find the Bee Bop exclusively on Amazon.com for $39.95 with free shipping for Prime members!
|Lauralee Saad loves homeschooling her three kiddos: Ballerina, age 8, Big Boy, age 6, and MESS, age 3. She enjoys sewing when she can find a spare corner to set up her machine and dig out fabrics, cooking and baking – especially if the kiddos are helping, and enjoying a good book after the kiddos have gone to bed. She is thrilled to have welcomed a baby girl into the family on March 23, 2012.|
