If you have followed Mommy’s Memorandum for any length of time, you are aware that we are VeggieTale fans. The kiddos love the characters, animation and story line and I love that they are family friendly, taking classic stories, blending in Bible stories and creating a lesson that makes life more beautiful. Our newest VeggieTales favorite is The League of Incredible Vegetables from Big Idea Entertainment.
When Li’l Man came home from school and saw it his eyes lit up and he exclaimed, “Woo Hoo! I don’t have homework!” and then he asked if he could watch the movie because “of all the VeggieTales, when I saw this one, I just knew I had to watch it!” I mean, really? How can I deny that?! So, it was agreed and he and The Divine Miss M disappeared with the movie.
VeggieTales: The League of the Incredible Vegetables is the fourth title in a series of DVD releases that stars the popular “LarryBoy” character. The DVD also introduces four new superheroes played by beloved VeggieTales characters Bob the Tomato, Petunia Rhubarb, Junior Asparagus and Mr. Lunt, all with hilarious superhero abilities. In addition to engaging bonus features, the DVD contains fun music fit for families, including an all new Silly Song, “Supper Hero”.
Li’l Man is, like his brothers, obsessed with super heroes. VeggieTales takes that passion and creates unique characters that turn to God for guidance and assistance, in spite of their extraordinary abilities. I love this because it shows that we all have talent, but we still should look to God for guidance to help us.
My children really love this DVD and think yours will too.
DVD Synopsis:
It was a bright and sunny day in Bumblyburg until Dr. Flurry came to town. This chillin’ villain wants to freeze the entire city in fear! This job is too big for LarryBoy to handle alone, so he turns to “the League of Incredible Vegetables” for help! Thingamabob (Bob the Tomato), S-Cape (Mr. Lunt), Vogue (Petunia Thubarb) and Ricochet (Junior Asparagus) are up for the task, but find that their own fears could land them in Dr. Flurry’s deep freeze!
