Good things come back around-take Powerpuff Girls. Back in the late 1990s, my kids LOVED watching Powerpuff Girls on Cartoon Network.
I remember in 2002, Delta Airlines had a plane in their Express route with the plane’s tail painted with Powerpuff Girls. I know this because my kiddos wanted desperately to be at the airport anywhere and anytime it was coming in or going out.
Powerpuff Girls is a great animated show revolving around the adventures of three girls with superpowers: Blossom (pink), Bubbles (blue), and Buttercup (green). Each episode has the girls using their power to defend Townsville. It must be rough being a superhero because the girls also have to deal with everyday issues like going to school, sibling rivalries and loose teeth.
Hulu is celebrating the launch of The Powerpuff Girls by highlighting amazing girls across the country!
These #RealLifePowerpuff girls are doing rad things and inspiring others along the way, whether working in the fields of science or sports, or doing great things for their families and community.
My #RealLifePowerpuff girl is my daughter MacKenzie.
She is an incredible young woman. She is probably the most confident person I have ever met. It’s a core part of who she is. I remember in first grade she came home with great enthusiasm sharing, “Mom, I got 23 right on my test today!”
“23 out of 100?” I inquired.
“MacKenzie, that is NOT good!” I scolded.
Her big blue eyes looked at me, she shrugged as she turned and answered, “Well, I did my best!”
It’s how she is with everything. She gives it her best and win-or-lose, she’s out there having fun and making the best of it.
I watch in awe as she makes friends easily. She just has this something special that others see and gravitate to her.
She inspires me with her optimism.
I tend to get stressed at the smallest things and she reminds me, “There’s not much you can do about it. Just acknowledge it and keep moving forward.” It’s great advice and as I practice it, I find it really does make more sense than losing out on things because you can’t control something.

About the Powerpuff Girls:
The Powerpuff Girls centers on three sugar-coated superheroes, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, whose missions in life alternate between going to school, fighting crime, winning at hopscotch and saving the world before bedtime. The girls are frequently called upon by the town’s mayor to help fight nearby criminals using their powers. While their differences cause them to squabble and tease, their individual strengths combined always lead them to victory. They rely on teamwork, trust, and friendship to thwart evil (in the most adorable way).
