So far we have removed the cabinets from the kitchen and demolished walls in the kitchen and bathroom.
Today will be the longest day yet.
Bodies are stiff and sore, but our goal is to be done by Wednesday.
They begin by cleaning up the bathroom demolition.
Then they hit the front bedroom. It has a wall missing that leads into the living room so they have plenty of room to haul it all out to the dumpster as they go.
Outside the bathroom is a small hallway that connects the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms.
It goes next.
It’s time for a break on the front porch to rehydrate.
Then back in to gut the living room.
Dad needs a break. Poor guy!
Then it’s clean up time.
The light coming through from the kitchen is a nice change from the dark paneling. And take a look at the fireplace back that is revealed.
I think it would be a unique look to leave the fireplace back exposed. We’ll have to look at it more to see if it can be done.
There is one more bedroom in the back to demolish, the Great Room (front side of fireplace), and the laundry room. Floors need to come up in the kitchen and the ceiling needs dropped.
Much progress is being made by just the two of them.
