Kansas City Vacation Begins at Sheraton Hotel at Crown Center

Thinking of a Kansas City vacation filled with mouth-watering barbecue, soulful jazz music and history or seeking one of the local attractions like LEGOLand, Sea Life Kansas City Aquarium? Kansas City is a city within a city. In between the itinerary, there’s plenty of rest and relaxation at Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. I recently stayed here while attending the School Lunch Conference.

Your Kansas City Vacation begins at the Sheraton Hotel at Crown Center

Inside is spacious but still a warm, inviting place to call home while on vacation. The lobby is rich in browns, tans, and gold, accented by white. A beautiful chandelier hangs in the center, captivating by day or evening.

At the far end of the lobby, guests are greeted by incredibly friendly employees for check-in. I was greeted and checked in within moments and given the choice of a lower room floor or a higher room floor. I opted for the higher room for a view of the city.

Opening the door to my room, luxury awaited.

I kicked off my shoes, curled my toes into the carpet–a light brown with platinum blue and brown stripes–and walked beyond the small entryway to the room.

It was 9:30 in the evening, and I couldn’t help but feel the need to walk across the room to the window and open the curtains.

From the 31st floor, the city offered a spectacular view.

After taking in the view and watching the lights of cars transform into golden neon streaks, I wandered back to the bathroom.

The marble tiles felt cool against my tired feet.

The water turned warm almost instantly, allowing me to wash my face.

The towels were soft.

I slipped into the robe waiting for me in the closet

I wandered across the room to the sitting area, where I put my feet up, opened the complimentary water bottles, and enjoyed reading Queen Betsy as I unwound from the day’s flights.

When the yawns arrived, I took one last look at the beautiful city lights and slipped into bed.

The king-size Sweet Sleeper bed was very comfortable.

The sheets are soft cotton.

A down-filled comforter offered salvation from my over-compensation of the air conditioner…and the pillows! Oh, they were heavenly.

In the morning, I woke up, and found my way to the small coffee station.

Starbucks is served at Sheraton to enjoy on your Kansas City Vacation:

I brewed a pot of Starbucks coffee and savored the taste, waiting for it to fuel my body.

I caught up on email and checked my messages at the desk, and plugged in my devices to charge for the day ahead.

I took a shower and enjoyed the luxurious Shine Bliss Signature toiletries. I was thankful for the blow dryer that was powerful enough to dry my long, thick hair.

Check-out was even quicker than checking-in, and there were plenty of options for breakfast!

With 730 rooms, there are plenty of options to leave you feeling rested.

While the room had many wonderful amenities like flat screen television, an ergonomic work area, an in-room safe, and coffee, and coffee maker, the wireless guest room internet access came with a cost of  $9.95 per day or premium service, offering higher bandwidth for connectivity and streaming for $19.95 per day.

I enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton Kansas City at Crown Plaza. It’s a great place to call home while enjoying a Kansas City vacation.
