My education was made possible by some pretty amazing individuals whom I called Teacher. It all started with my Kindergarten teacher, Miss Bennion. She was beautiful. The stuff as a Kindergartner I thought worthy of Miss America. She kept me interested in school. I brought a chicken to school for the class pet. She took us to ride in a carriage at her stables and I was invited to her wedding. It was spectacular with miniature tables and chairs and finger foods for my class. Her ring got tangled in my hair. It was the perfect beginning.
Teachers are influential. I’ve watched my children develop their own love/hate relationship with their teachers. I’ve seen some teachers I’ve admired and crossed my fingers as we approached the list, hoping they would be my child’s teacher. Others have been bland by comparison and failed to realilze that sometimes you have to present the same thing many ways before a child understands.
I salute Teachers. I am thankful for each and everyone.
