Let’s be honest with each other. I am not keen on exercise. Not even a smidgen. Yet in the back of my mind for years I’ve dreamed of doing a 5K run. I suppose subconsciously it lingers in the cobwebs of my mind.
Then I was chosen for the #IHeartOmron Fitness Challenge. I proved to myself I could be committed to something. The weight is coming off slowly, but I’m getting stronger! In what was most likely a ploy to put off doing the exercise routine, my nine-year old and I discovered this awesome 5K Run called Color Me Rad.
So here we are…
I’ve never run a 5K–I assure you I will be walking more than running. The point is I signed up. I’m doing it!
I’m nervous!
When those butterflies hit, I just look at this picture…
There is way too much fun going on in this run for me to even think I want to miss.
Color Me Rad is coming to a city near you…I’ll be the nervous one in the 9:15am wave in Greensboro!
Even if you don’t sign up, read through their site, it is hilarious fun!
