When I get stressed, I reach for potato chips. I know that they have to be one of the worst foods for me, however, I love the crunch. In the evenings, when the kiddos are resting and I can tune in to some grown up shows, I like to snack and this week, I’ve put the potato chips aside and am reaching instead for Bare Fruit Cinnamon Apple Chips.
When they arrived, my husband turned up his nose at them. I munched on some and then Bailey Mae, our puppy, wanted to try one. When the puppy started doing tricks to get a nibble of more, my husband said, “Let me try those.” He tried to act like he didn’t like them and then surrendered to the deliciousness. He took over the bag and as I got up to pick up the kiddos he said, “Can I have these?”
“I don’t understand why we can’t all share them.” I retorted.
“Because I want to take them to work. These are really good.”
Thankfully hubby is willing to share.
I love that the kiddos love them too. They are made in Washington State and 100% Organic and gluten free. It’s hard to believe. As we ate them, I happened to look at the ingredients. Just two: Apples and Cinnamon. Wanna know something else I love? Each serving, of 20 grams, has just 58 calories!
Unlike other dried fruit, Bare Fruit Apple Chips are specially baked-dried and have a crunch like a potato chip. They totally satisfy my munchies. They have a sweet taste you experience when biting into a real apple with that touch of tart. Incredible!
My husband and I played a guessing game when it came to how many apples were in a 14 ounce bag. We looked it up, learning there are 30 apples in every bag! Wow!
We talked about this being a great snack for our family–far healthier for us than traditional snack foods.
Bare Fruit Apple Chips can be purchased directly through Bare Fruit’s Website or they are available on Amazon.com. If you prefer shopping locally, look for them at Costco, Walmart, TJMaxx, Marshall’s, and Whole Foods.
We’re looking forward to watching Survivor, Revenge, The Walking Dead and more as we munch on Bare Fruit’s Apple Chips. We also discovered they are available in other fruits like pears, cherries and mangos! TV Snack time just got a whole lot better!
