Snack ideas for everyone while traveling or on the go mean different things to different people. For me, I’m looking for healthier snacking, something with protein.  I love sweet and I want texture. Balance Bar has me covered.

Founded in 1992 by a group of sports enthusiasts, scientists and people with a passion for life, Balance Bar was one of the originators of energy bars and the nutrition bar category. Balance Bar continues to be run by people with the same passion and mission today that created the company.

I received a sample of Balance Bar and discovered with five unique formulas, two sizes and lots of amazing flavors, picking a favorite was difficult. I was up to the challenge! Every Balance Bar offers the 40-30-30 caloric ratio (40% of calories come from carbohydrates, 30% from protein and 30% from dietary fat) making them perfect long-lasting healthy energy.

They offer variety, including chocolate and no chocolate varieties.

  • Balance Bar Original
  • Balance Bar Gold
  • Balance Bar Mini
  • Balance Bar Bare
  • Balance Bar Cafe

My favorite right now is the Balance Bar Blueberry Acai. It could be that it was the last one that I ate. I love the texture and the flavors are delightful.

I love that the bars back easily for on the go–which makes summer travel convenient.

As you gear up for travel, remember to include these items:

  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Mosquito Repellant
  • Breathable, versatilsummer clothing–I like pockets to keep things (like Balance Bars)
  • Comfortable Shoes
  • Purse/bag  (check with security for size limitations)
  • Camera
  • Balance Bar Snacks
  • Cash, in case food and souvenir vendors don’t accept credit cards

Balance Bars are delicious and have great texture and an assortment of flavors. They are a great, healthier alternative to snacking.
