Bacon Milkshake Recipe

Here’s an old-fashioned milkshake–real ingredients, with a modern twist of flavor–BACON!

Milkshakes are my cure-all.

Making them at home is easy!

That’s right!

I said it.

Bacon.

Everything goes well with bacon and this milkshake will have you wanting more!

If you love ice cream and bacon (and who doesn’t?!?) then this Bacon Milkshake Recipe is perfect for you.

We think it’s one of the most decadent milkshakes ever.

It’s sweet, salty, and total perfection.

I love how there is an infinite number of flavor profiles you can make to satisfy any craving you have with a basic milkshake recipe.

My biggest tip is to use thick-cut bacon.

It works much better in this recipe.

Use leftover bacon from breakfast.

But you won’t have great results with the pre-cooked packaged bacon because you will be using the rendered fat from cooking the bacon in different parts of the recipe.

I hear you.

You’re skeptical.

Foodies know that bacon always makes everything taste better.

I mean, traditionally, it’s your standard eggs and toast with a side of bacon.

It’s strips of bacon on your basic cheeseburger.

But, I’m telling you, the salty, sweet combination of this bacon milkshake is going to lock you into bacon goes with everything.

The bacon flavor in this shake recipe comes from rendered bacon grease, but don’t worry there’s still meaty little pieces of delicious bacon.

A little bacon fat goes a long way here in adding flavor to this maple bacon milkshake.

And trust me when I tell you a pinch of salt before blending will pump up the savory factor and complement the sweetness.

Bacon Milkshake Recipe Ingredients:

4 Slices Maple Bacon, Thick Cut

1/8 cup Real Maple Syrup

Sea Salt

Brown Sugar

1/2 cup whole milk

Bacon Grease

Vanilla Ice Cream

Whipped Cream

Bacon Milkshake Recipe Directions:

Cover cookie sheet with aluminum foil.

Place a row of brown sugar on the cookie sheet.

Lay a strip of bacon over each row.

Coat bacon with more brown sugar on the top side.

Place in oven at 350 degrees and cook until bacon is extra crispy.

Allow bacon to cool and then turn two strips of bacon into crumbles.

This will leave you two strips to garnish each shake.

Use a spoon to gather some of the bacon grease from the cookie sheet the bacon was cooked on.

Pour milk, maple syrup, a pinch of sea salt, your bacon crumbles, and loads of vanilla ice-cream into the blender along with that big spoonful of bacon grease.

Blend until creamy.

Pour the shake into your class and garnish with whipped cream, drizzle with maple syrup and add a strip of candied bacon for garnish.

Bacon Milkshake Recipe Variation:

Try adding a cooked pancake to the blender for a fun twist on this delicious shake!
