Blog Award

A special thanks to Dawn at It’s How I See Things for this award. She just posted pictures of Alaska that made me want to go back to visit! Thanks for this award, Dawn!

The rules:

* Click on the above image and paste it onto your blog/website

* Answer the below questions

* Pass onto five bloggers you love, go to their blog, and let them know they’ve been awarded the award.

1. Who is your style icon?

I have my own sense of style. Though it probably most resembles Bruce Springsteen’s…tee shirt jeans. I, however, do NOT roll up my tee-shirt sleeves!

2. What is your favorite socialite book?

So when I hear “socialite,” immediately Paris Hilton pops into my mind. Yeah. Which gives me pause for thought: can a socialite write a book? Hmm… If Gossip Girls counts, I might have to with that!

3. Favorite party theme?

Does a party need a theme? I think not, but if it must, make mine an 80’s THEME.

4. “Go to” Halloween costume?

Well, for the last three years, I’ve been SUPER Grover. It’s a jumpsuit with a hood, so it’s easy to “go-to”.

5. Extravagance you cannot live without?

Yikes! I am a simple girl who doesn’t require much.
hmm….
I’ll go with Coca-Cola…the stuff is Liquid Gold!

6. Living person you admire?

I know you’re all expecting me to say, Jon Bon Jovi. Let’s face it, the man is hot, he’s business savvy, and I love him. However, the living person I MOST admire is…

Harvey Howard

Yup…probably not a household name…just yet.

He was a legend in motor-cross at 17. I didn’t know him then.

After his bike ceased on a jump on his hometown track, I met him at the hospital. He was paralyzed. I was 16; he was 17. I spent every day at the hospital with him.

He saved me from myself.

He didn’t give up. He didn’t let a wheelchair keep him from his passion.

He went on to race modified stock cars.

He took the Utah State Championship Title in 2009.

I admire him because some people say he’s disabled. Some people said he couldn’t do it.

He proved them wrong!

7. Greatest fear?

Failure.

Although, sharks are right up there.

8. Trait you deplore in yourself?

If you’ve ever taken one of those personality tests, you’ll understand. I’m a RED with Equal Blue.

This translates to saying what’s on my mind…then I feel bad for hurting someone’s feelings.

Once, one of my team members asked me if her butt looked big in her jeans. I said, “Um, your butt IS big no matter what you wear.” Then I spent the day feeling just awful.

9. Which talent would you most like to have?

I wish I could sing…, really, really well. Then I could open for Bon Jovi! ;)

10. Greatest Achievement?

Being Myself.
