BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is probably my most favorite Disney movie. I love the story. It’s also a movie whose character reminds me of my daughter, Abi. She is beautiful and her love for book is insatiable. She loves reading. She is also kind and tends to see the good in people–even people who might be difficult to see this in.
On March 17, 2017, Disney will release the BEAUTY AND THE BEAST as a live-action adaptation of the studio’s animated classic…and of course, one of the most beloved tales ever told.
The film stars Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast. It is directed by Bill Condon and features an extraordinary ensemble cast which also includes Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Audra McDonald, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson.
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will be released in theaters nationwide on March 17, 2017. That’s just enough time to watch the original a thousand or so times to prepare for sing-a-longs and all the fun. Or you can watch the trailer below….over and over again.
I’m in awe of the talent and work of costume designer Jacqueline Durran in this film. It’s like the pages from the book, and animated film are brought to life with no detail missed.
Be still my heart…Kevin Kline as Belle’s father Maurice is such a wonderful choice in casting!
Luke Evans as Belle’s suitor Gaston is so spot on.
Ewan McGregor as the enchanted candelabra Lumière, and Sir Ian McKellen as the clock Cogsworth
Mark your calendars, March 17th.
I can’t wait for the magic of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
